Kiss My Bass New Years Eve Allnighter!
Published by Udy on December 9, 2008After much discussion and planning we are excited to announce to the Kiss My Bass family the details of our all-night New Years Eve party. After much head-scratching, aruging and fantasising here it is. Over the past six months the Havana Bar in Southsea has treated us well and proved to be a great venue with reasonably
priced drinks, ample dancefloor dimensions and plenty of room outside for those needing to satisfy their cravings or rest their ear holes.
We are gonna be transforming Havana into something special and no corners are gonna be cut. We will be importing a beefy sound system and more lighting fx than a Pink Floyd concert (okay, maybe not quite that much), creating the perfect environment for seeing in the new year in style.
The Kiss My Bass residents will all be pulling something special out of the bag, playing the biggest tunes of the past year as well as the classics, and of course the freshest and newest sounds around. Joining the residents will be Tom Mayhem from the Something’s Missing / Ricochet camp who destroyed the dancefloor for us back in July and DJ Charge, the much-loved Break-neck resident who consistently plays flawless and impressive sets of all the heaviest genres and tunage one will ever require. As this is the last party of the year we are letting the djs choose what they wanna play so expect anything from breaks to techfunk to electro to dnb to dubstep and everything in between.
Bringing us in to the new year we were after something unique and where else in Portsmouth are you gonna find a live beatbox midnight countdown? Ochs is the man on the mic and he is promising something very special for us so be sure to not miss out as we say goodbye to the year just gone and welcome the next.
And, to top things off, Havana are fully in the party mood and giving away a generous helping of free booze! Get down to the venue before 10pm and your ticket stub will be slung in a bucket for the chance to win one of many refreshing prizes in The Great Havana Giveaway. Free bar tabs, giant champagne bottles and more prizes are up for grabs so do your wallet a favour and get involved!
