Kiss My Bass favourites Knob Jockeys serve up another of their famed minimixes and kick it off with their top remix of our next release. be sure to grab that too on the link provided.
It’s always great to be able to post on an absolute legend and DJ Godfather is just that. It’s all about that ghetto booty (when isn’t it) and Ghetto Electro Ft. DJ Omega is no exception. Our favourite has to be the Nom De Strip remix which is picking up some serious love pretty much everywhere right now and is included in the mix below from label owner Tim Healey. Also included in the mix is the Tai remix and just for good measure we also include a Youtube video of the release.
Kiss My Bass returns with an action packed bass heavy package headed up with the latest from breaks/house crossover boys JOKR. Their most recent track On Point was well received on Dusted Breaks and since their sound matches our vibe perfectly we were quick to snap them up! The resulting EP is one of non stop dance floor belters, each with their own slightly different take. Suffice to say there will be one for your occasion and it’s out March 15th.
Remixes come from breaks scene darlings Ben & Lex, our own Udy, the ever amazing Mr Vega plus the freebie remix from Manchester’s Knob Jockeys whose mix has already been played by Kissy Sell Out on his Radio One show. DJ response has been BIG so get those wallets ready for when it hit all good digital download stores on March 15th and help us make a run on the charts.

Another tasty mixtape for you today, in the shape of Black Noise’s 2010 with a bang mix. We featured Black Noise a while back with their awesome remix of ‘Anyway’ by Duck Sauce, and their other equally awesome remix of ‘Jack Track’ by Tonka. Both of these are included in this mix, along with a whole host of current and future bangers. Aside from this, Black Noise have a busy year ahead of them, remixing the Futureheads and a collaboration with the excellent Mightyfools. All this and a remix of Tommie Sunshine’s ‘5am’, which is out soon and will be massive. So to sum up, we love Black Noise!

Seeing as it’s Monday and you may need cheering up, I’d like to draw your attention to one of my favourite tunes from the back end of last year. Lords Of Flatbush are a new (ish) band/production team from The Steel City (Sheffield for those who don’t know!), made up of Phil Jones and the vocal talents of Steve Edwards. These guys have been in the game for years, working with the likes of Cassius, Bob Sinclair and Take That! With their new project however, they are taking centre stage. Currently unsigned I’m sure it won’t be long before you’re hearing all about these guys. We have the Toddla T and Ross Orton remix of one of their best tunes ‘999′ for you here, enjoy!
There’s just no stopping the Knob Jockeys at the moment. Not content with their absolutely brilliant remix of the second Kiss My Bass release ‘Wubsteppin’, the Jockeys have remixed ex-Moloko frontwoman Roisin Murphy’s new single ‘Momma’s Place’. Personally I’m a fan of Murphy’s vocals anyway, but this remix has mass appeal written all over it. So get it now while it’s good and hot, and don’t forget you can still buy our second release, featuring the Knob Jockeys remix, from all decent digital download stores.
You are all probably quite familiar with Kidda, the name behind the massive ‘Under the Sun’ which was used in the Bacardi ad a few months ago. That track was from his album ‘Going Up’ which was released on Skint Records last year to all sorts of well deserved praise. The album was so well recieved, he decided to get a few top notch producers together to make a remixed version entitled ‘Go Up To Get Down’. The lovely people at Skint have given us three tracks from this album to give away, all at 320 high quality! As always, if you like these tasty treats then please make a purchase from your favourite digital music vendor. And if you still can’t get enough Kidda we’re told he has a new album in the pipeline which will be available from 1st of February.
